Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Knoxville is an established state-of-the-art small animal hospital with emergency and specialty services including 24-hour emergency & critical care, internal medicine, surgery, oncology, and dermatology services. Our Specialty Director is nationally recognized oncologist Jeff Phillips, noted for his practice, research, and teaching skills. We are looking for a veterinary technician to join their service. As a veterinary technician on the oncology service, you will work closely with our doctors to assess and care for oncology patients. You will have the opportunity to hone your craft, working with specialists in a state-of-the-art facility.
Duties include but not limited to:
• Preparation and administration chemotherapy
• Medical treatment of animals
• Laboratory procedures
• Radiology and CT
• Client communication
• Medical procedures
• Operation and maintenance of instruments and equipment
• Daily treatment of hospitalized patients
• Record keeping

The right person for this job will have two or more years veterinary technician experience, intelligence, good communication skills, compassion, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and grow. Licensed and unlicensed techs will be considered. Previous specialty medicine experience is a plus.
