Innovetive Petcare cares. It’s really that simple. We care about our people, our practices, and our community. We want to be part of the solution for the problems our people and our profession face. This year, Innovetive Petcare has launched the Fabric of Compassion Project to contribute to solutions for compassion fatigue and burnout. Innovetive Petcare rolled out an Employee Assistance Program to give team members additional resources and supports for managing both worklife and homelife. We published Put Your Oxygen Mask on First, a pocket book with self-assessments, tools, and resources for managing compassion fatigue, burnout, and depression. At veterinary conferences this year, we are inviting everyone to participate in our art project for the Fabric of Compassion Project that will support NOMV, an organization entirely devoted to supporting colleagues in crisis and reducing the veterinary suicide rate. For more information about the Fabric of Compassion Project and to download an e-book version of Put Your Oxygen Mask on First, go to innovetivepetcare.com/ipccares.
At Innovetive Petcare, learning never ends. Development is a core value at Innovetive Petcare and to demonstrate that, the company ran a giveaway for a paid admission to a 2019 veterinary conference. Innovetive Petcare is excited to announce the winner, Macy Riemenschneider, a veterinary technician from San Antonio, TX! Representatives from our team attended four veterinary conferences in 2018: The Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA) conference in The Woodlands, TX The IVECCS conference in New Orleans, LA Southwest Veterinary Symposium (SWVS) in San Antonio, TX ACVS Surgery Summit in Phoenix, AZ Veterinarians and technicians at each of these conferences were invited to submit their name for a chance to win a conference pass to one of four veterinary conferences in 2019, and the winner, Riemenschneider, was recently selected! She was given her choice of conferences to attend and chose Southwest Veterinary Symposium in San Antonio. “I’m so excited about winning this free admission to SWVS 2019!” Riemenschneider said. “I look forward to visiting the Innovetive Petcare booth!” In 2019, Innovetive Petcare will attend SWVS again, along with TVMA, IVECCS, and ACVS, as well as two others, the Music City Veterinary Conference in Nashville, TN, and the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) Forum in Phoenix, AZ. Innovetive Petcare is a huge proponent of continuing education for veterinarians and veterinary technicians, and we back that idea in several ways. Many of our hospitals, including Animal Emergency & Specialty Centers in Tennessee and Veterinary Referral Hospital of Hickory in North Carolina, host free continuing education events for veterinarians and veterinary technicians throughout the year. The events are open not only to our employees, but any local veterinarians and technicians. Additionally, all Innovetive Petcare employees are given a continuing education allowance each year, plus paid days off for continuing education, and we reimburse partial tuition costs for company-approved professional development. And finally, Innovetive Petcare has its own unique online training tool, Innovetive University. Employees can log on and complete RACE-approved courses at their leisure, allowing them to continue to grow and learn while being present in their practice daily. Our 2018 giveaway further reinforces our strong belief in continuing education. “One of Innovetive Petcare’s core values is providing training and development opportunities to all of our employees,” said Mark Ziller, president and CEO of Innovetive Petcare. “We are pleased to have recently awarded our winner a trip to the conference of her choice. I hope our winner finds the conference informative and thought-provoking, and comes back with information to share with colleagues. Those types of opportunities to learn and share information and best practices are what Innovetive Petcare is all about.”
